Make Music is a celebration of music, held around the world on June 21 and always free of charge. Launched in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now celebrated on the same day in more than 800 cities in 120 countries. In Argentina, we celebrate the entire week of June 21 – that is, from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m.

Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to participate. Every type of musician – young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical style – can share their music with friends, neighbors and strangers in the streets, parks, squares, schools, theaters, cultural centers. All of this is free and open to the public.

Make Music Argentina is an initiative of CAFIM Argentine Chamber of Musical Instrument Manufacturers and Magma Music, with sponsorship of the NAMM Foundation (National Association of Music Merchants), a North American organization that promotes music, with support from UNESCO and Make Music Day, in the United States.
